Bradford City moved up to the heady heights of second in the League One table with an impressive 3-1 win over Yorkshire rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
Despite still being in administration and having suffered two recent demotions, Colin Todd has moulded his small squad in to a force to be reckoned with.
After a goalless first half, the Bantams took the lead just before the hour when substitute Michael Symes collected a neat throughball from Nicky Summerbee before tucking his shot past Ola Tidman in the Owls goal.
Wednesday were two goals down within three minutes. Veteran striker Dean Windass was sent clear by another fine Summerbee pass before lobbing Tidman.
Paul Sturrock's inconsistent side got back in to the match briefly in the 73rd minute when Lee Bullen drilled home from Paul Heckingbottom's corner.
However, their hope lasted just five minutes as Symes scored his second goal of the afternoon with a near-post shot from Ben Muirhead's pass as City eased to victory.
