Yorath aware sack is looming

Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Ipswich at Potman Road was the third straight defeat for the Owls who now find themselves down in 22nd place in the First Division table with just one win so far this season in the local derby with rivals Sheffield United.

Yorath said "I do not know how long I have got. I am still manager unless I am told otherwise.

"It's always the same in football, you are judged on results. George Burley's sacking at Ipswich shows how fickle football is.

"Managers no longer have much time, especially at clubs like Wednesday and Ipswich.

"If the situation doesn't change, I suppose something will have to happen. But I'll keep going until told otherwise."
