The Northern Ireland winger, who has been in and out of the team in the last few weeks, has been linked with a move to the City of Manchester Stadium but Brunt claims he is happy in Sheffield.
He told Irish publication The Newsletter: "A number of people have mentioned that Manchester City were interested in me but I expect that was because the transfer window was opening. I didn't speak to anyone from Manchester City and no-one at Hillsborough mentioned anything about it.
"Right now I am talking to Paul Sturrock about my current contract which ends in 2007 and what the next move will be for me. We are talking with a view to extending my contract - I am happy at Sheffield Wednesday and I have a lot of friends here.
"It is flattering, even if it is just speculation, to have my name mentioned with a Premiership club. That suggests I am doing something right and I hope to continue playing well."
If Brunt does end up signing a new contract, he will join fellow youngsters Patrick Collins, Richard Wood and Glenn Whelan in comitting their future to The Owls.
Meanwhile, Craig Rocastle has been linked with a move to either Millwall or Leyton Orient while Paul Heckingbottom has attracted interest from Bristol City and Blackpool.
