Sheffield Wednesday have moved to bolster their attack for the second time this week. Following the extension of Matt Fryatt's loan spell at S6 the Owls have captured Sunderland striker Connor Wickham on a youth loan deal that will see him stay at Hillsborough for the remainder of 2013.
Despite rumoured interest from a number of Championship clubs, including league leaders Burnley, Wickham has decided to return to the club where he spent 6 games on loan last season.
The England under 21 international scored the winning goal for the Owls at Leicester City last season and will be looking to pick up where he left off when Wednesday face Reading at Hillsborough on Saturday.
