Whelan set to return

Whelan was away with the Republic of Ireland Under-21 team in Israel on Friday and has now arrived back in the country.
Quinn meanwhile was suspended for Northern Ireland’s game with England at the weekend but he is set to play some part in their away clash in Poland.
It leaves Paul Sturrock with only one fit striker in Drew Talbot to compliment the preferred front two of Graham Barrett and Lee Peacock.
Chris Brunt will also be in Warsaw although he was not involved at all against England and will be hoping to at least make the bench for Lawrie Sanchez’s men, who are on a high after thrashing Azerbaijan 8-0 on Saturday.
It is still unsure whether Graeme Lee will be fit to return to defence although Paul Sturrock will also be watching the fitness of Lee Bullen and Richard Wood before the game as they were very doubtful for the Torquay match.
