Sheffield Wednesday host local rivals Barnsley at Hillsborough tonight looking to bounce back following a disappointing defeat at Doncaster on Saturday.
The Owls could be without the services of Barnsley-born defender Mark Beevers after the centre-back picked up a knock at the weekend. Steve Watson is unlikely to play so if Beevers does fail to make it Richard Hinds could be in line for a rare start.
In attack Wednesday have the option of Francis Jeffers who returns following a 3-match ban but he may have to settle for a place on the bench in Brian Laws chooses to continue with Marcus Tudgay and Leon Clarke.
Barnsley have not played so far this month and the postponement of this fixture a couple of weeks ago may have worked in their favour as the likes of Stephen Foster, Hugo Colace and Daniel Bogdanovic could all be available to return from recent spells on the sidelines. Diego Leon however is struggling to make it and striker Iain Hume remains sidelined as he continues his recovery from a fractured skull.
Their options are further boosted with a trio of loan signings - Adam Hammill, Michael Mifsud and Andranik Teymourian - all in contention to make their debuts.
Barnsley enjoyed a 2-1 home win over the Owls back in October but Wednesday boast a fine home record against their local rivals having won the last nine encounters at Hillsborough.
Wednesday are in indifferent form at the moment but have a good home record with just two league defeats on their own patch so far this season. Barnsley travel to Hillsborough on the back of four straight league defeats and have three away wins from fifteen attempts.
