Sheffield Wednesday have moved to replace goalkeeper Lewis Price today by signing former Norwich custodian Jake Kean.
Price had been offered a new deal with the Owls but opted to move to Rotherham on a 2-year-deal last week and so Carlos Carvalhal has wasted no time in adding another experienced stopper to the Owls ranks.
Kean has left Norwich City by mutual consent and is said to have signed a 2-year-contract at Hillsborough.
The 25-year-old has plenty of football league experience. Having developed through Derby County's youth system he moved Blackburn in 2009 and made almost 50 appearances for Rovers, adding to his experience with loan spells at Hartlepool, Rochdale, Yeovil and Oldham.
Having joined Norwich last summer Kean spent spells on loan at Colchester and Swindon last season.
Wednesday are in a strong position in terms of goalkeepers with Kean joining Republic of Ireland international Keiren Westwood - widely regarded as one of the best in the division and young England prospect Joe Wildsmith.
