Wednesday out to stop Watford winning the league

There will be a party atmosphere at Vicarage Road on Saturday as Watford bid to end their season in style by clinching the Championship title.

A victory for the Owls however could see them finish in the top half and they are no strangers to upsetting the odds having taken a point at previous table-toppers Bournemouth just a fortnight ago.

Wednesday will be without defensive quartet Joe Mattock, Glenn Loovens, Kamil Zayatte and Liam Palmer but midfielder Jose Semedo could keep his place having returned from a foot injury last weekend. On-loan Manchester United striker Will Keane will be hoping for a start but Lewis McGugan, who has been absent with illness and injury of late anyway, will not feature against his parent club.

Watford are likely to be without 4 players. Defenders Lloyd Doyley and Joel Ekstrand are injured, as is midfielder Sean Murray. Influential midfielder Adlene Guedioura's loan spell from Crystal Palace has come to an end and so he is also unavailable.

The Owls will have their hands full trying to contain Watford's free scoring front players with Troy Deeney, Matej Vydra and Odion Ighalo all in contention.

Wednesday have struggled to stop the Hornets in recent seasons and will be glad to see the back of them for next seasons campaign. Watford have won 5 of the last 7 meetings between the 2 sides including a 3-0 win at Hillsborough this season in they have hit 4 goals in 3 of those 5 wins.
