Owls Vs Swans: Team news & preview
Sheffield Wednesday may have only lost 1 league game since parting company with former manager Jos Luhukay in mid-December but in the 10 league games since losing 2-1 at Swansea in the Dutch manager's last game they have drawn 5 and have finished all-square in their last 3 matches.
It is no surprise to see plenty of draws in the Championship given the competitive nature of the division but only 6 teams have drawn more matches than Wednesday and it is something new manager Steve Bruce is keen to address, especially at home.
Wednesday will be without Fernando Forestieri as he serves a 1-match ban for 'over-celebrating' Dominic Iorfa's injury time equalizer at Rotherham last weekend. Jordan Thorniley looks set to miss out having suffered a head injury late on at the New York Stadium and George Boyd may also miss out due to illness. Defender Tom Lees is expected to return to the squad having had a couple of weeks on the sidelines due to a shin injury.
Swansea could be handed a big boost with Declan John, Wayne Routledge and Nathan Dyer all in contention to return from injury lay-offs. However, influential midfielder Leroy Fer is likely to have to wait until next weekend at least before he is ready to return from a hamstring injury.
Wednesday have failed to beat Swansea in the last 7 meetings between the two sides but did manage a home draw against the Swans last season in the F.A. Cup before losing the replay 2-0.
