The young defender, starting a game for the first time since December believes that referee Andre Marriner spoilt the game following Zigor Aranalde's sending off ten minutes into his home debut.
But he believes Wednesday have to keep concentrated on their own game and forget about decisions from the officials as the club try to consolidate their position in the play-offs.
He told Footymad: "It was never a sending off and that’s the annoying thing. The referee ruined that game. It was always going to be difficult against a good team with eleven men let alone ten because when we get a man sent off it always makes it harder.
"It’s hard when the team are trying their best but the referee’s giving you nothing – you just have to stay focussed.
"Against Tranmere at their place, they were the better side but here I think we edged it. Both goals were sloppy ones but we just have to stay positive. There’s not many games to go but if we keep playing like we did then we will be there in the play-offs."
