Sheffield Wednesday striker Marcus Tudgay has been rewarded for his performances during the month of February by scooping the PFA Fans player of the month in the Coca Cola Championship.
Tudgay saw off competition from fellow strikers Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Jason Scotland as well as Wednesday team mates Michael Gray and Lee Grant to win the poll that is voted for by supporters through the official PFA website, www.givemefootball.com
Tudgay started the month off in style by scoring a fantastic winner away to bitter rivals Sheffield United and rounded February off by bagging a brace at Burnley.
In addition to his goals Owls fans have been impressed by his tireless work rate and willingness to cover in wide midfield when needed. He has recently been partnered by Leon Clarke in the Owls attack and the pair seem to work well together which hopefully bodes well for the remainder of the season.
Tudgay, who was also awarded the SWFC player of the month earlier in the week, becomes the second Wednesday player in a row to take the PFA gong after Lee Grant earned the accolade in January.
