Owls ready to return to action as Championship resumes
Sheffield Wednesday will be back in competitive action today for the first time since early March as the Championship season restarts.
The decision was taken to postpone the competition due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in England in the week leading up to the Owls scheduled home fixture against Nottingham Forest which was due to take place on March 14th.
After a 3-month break, the match against Forest will take place at Hillsborough today but in very different circumstances. The impact of the corona virus means that no large gatherings are possible at this time and so the game will be played behind closed doors, as will be the case for all of the Owls 9 remaining fixtures in the 2019-20.
Wednesday season ticket holders have been given the opportunity to watch the games live via the i-follow service and other supporters have also had the opportunity to purchase this service for the Forest match at a cost of £10.
