Sheffield Wednesday left-back Tommy Spurr has been rewarded for his solid display by being included in the official football league Coca Cola Championship team of the week as chosen by the press association.
The full-back showed maturity beyond his years as he put in a fine display as Captain in the absence of Richard Wood.
As ever he got forward well in support of the Owls attacks and his defending and leadership of the team enabled Wednesday to keep their first clean sheet in twelve matches.
Spurr has become a firm favourite with supporters at Hillsborough over the past couple of seasons and his wholehearted displays epitomise everything the fans want to see from those in blue and white.
