Sheffield Wednesday defender Frank Simek will return to the starting line-up for the clash at Nottingham Forest. American right-back Simek has started on the substitutes' bench in the Owls' last five matches, but Lewis Buxton is out with a hamstring injury and expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks. Otherwise, manager Alan Irvine has no new injury or suspension problems and is not expected to make any changes to the side that started in last weekend's home win over relegation rivals Plymouth.
Luke Varney, on loan from Derby until the end of the season, fired his fifth and sixth goals of the season last Saturday and is expected to resume his partnership with Marcus Tudgay up front, while fellow striker Akpo Sodje has rejoined Charlton on loan until the end of the season. Owls boss Irvine is bidding for his fifth win in six league matches since replacing Brian Laws last month.
