Sheffield Wednesday have rejected a second official approach from Queens Park Rangers for defender Tommy Spurr, it was announced on the clubs' official website yesterday.
Rangers made an initial approach in December and despite coming back with an improved offer the Owls have held firm in their stance to keep the promising youngster.
The West London club have been busy in the January transfer window to date with no less than seven new players being brought in at Loftus Road thus far and time will tell if they come knocking at Hillsborough again for the 20-year-old Owls youth graduate who was nurtured as a centre back but has become an established member of the first team at left-back.
