Striker and defender rumoured to be interesting Gers

SPL club Rangers have this week been linked with a surprise move for two Sheffield Wednesday players.
The Glasgow club are thought to be interested in taking Owls striker Jordan Rhodes north of the border, possibly on a loan deal.
Rhodes has yet to find his best form for the Owls and as boss Jos Luhukay has a host of options in attack it is likely that 1 or 2 of Wednesdays strikers could be made available this summer.
Wages could be a stumbling block for any potential move as the former Huddersfield Town strikers salary is reported to be well above the average player wage at Ibrox but the Scottish club are keen to give new manager Steven Gerrard a good budget as they look to close the gap on rivals Celtic.

Another Owls player linked with a move to Ibrox is Glenn Loovens though it remains to be seen if this is any more than pure speculation given the defenders previous ties.
The 34-year-old's departure from Hillsborough has already been announced as he is to become a free agent this summer following 5 well-received years with the Owls. Rangers would be something of a surprise destination for the Dutchman however as he spent 4 years as a Celtic player between 2008 and 2012.
