According to reports, Wednesday are chasing Aberdeen defender Kevin McNaughton and Celtic's goalkeeper David Marshall to strengthen the squad for next season.
McNaughton has been with The Dons for ten years since he was a 13-year-old and is now looking for a new challenge in a bid to get back into the international fold.
Wednesday are chasing more defensive cover after Patrick Collins was told he can look for a new club and Drissa Diallo was released.
The Owls meanwhile are reportedly battling it out with Paul Sturrock's old club Dundee United in a bid to sign Marshall on perhaps a season-long loan deal from Celtic.
Marshall had been first choice after making a spectacular debut for the Parkhead club against Barcelona in the 2004 UEFA Cup until this season when Artur Boruc took his place.
Wednesday are still chasing Scott Carson, who has been called up to England's standby World Cup squad but apparently Cardiff City are also interested in bringing the Liverpool stopper in on loan after his appearances at Hillsborough last season.
