Rigg, who has played an integral part at S6 over the last four years, is leaving the position mainly because of personal reasons.
The academy director job has become a 7-day-a-week role for Rigg in the last few years and despite his obvious passion for the post, he has reluctantly decided to move on.
He told the club's official site: "I sat down with my wife and family, looked at it long and hard, and I feel it's time for me to let someone else take it onto the next level.
"I must stress that this decision is absolutely no reflection on the board of directors or management of the club, in fact it was the opposite - they have supported the academy from top to bottom."
