Wednesday's three-game winning run came to a halt two Saturdays ago as the Elland Road outfit proved to be too powerful for The Owls.
But tonight's opponents Luton have only picked up one point from a possible 24 so the omens of a home win are good.
Winger Partridge told Footymad: "Yeah, it’s a big home game and we need to get three points and apart from the Leeds game we have come off the back of a good run so it is key that we get back on track so we have had a good break for ten days to get sharp and we will look forward to it.
"After a defeat you want the next game to come as quickly as possible but the break will have given us times to rest and to work on things which may have let us down against Leeds so the break will probably do us good."
Steve MacLean should come off the bench for his first appearance since his super-sub outing at Cardiff last May after playing 45 minutes in the reserves last week.
The Scottish striker broke his leg and damaged knee ligaments against Manchester City in pre-season and tonight will be his first sniff of action since then.
David Lucas will also take his place between the sticks again after Nicky Weaver returned over the Pennines following his loan spell at Hillsborough.
