Young midfielder Liam Palmer has been voted as Sheffield Wednesday's player of the year by supporters voting via the clubs official website.
The 22-year-old product of the Owls academy has been a first team regular this season after benefiting from a season-long loan spell with Tranmere Rovers last season.
Palmer started the season at right-back in the absence of the injured Lewis Buxton and has continued to play that role in an assured matter whenever Buxton has been unavailable throughout the season.
Upon Buxton's return to fitness Palmer reverted to a more familiar midfield role and flourished, particularly when playing in a midfield 3 along with Kieran Lee and Jose Semedo under the stewardship of Stuart Gray.
Palmer's versatility is a real asset for the Owls and his displays this season have been duly recognised by the Wednesday fans.
Palmer's midfield partner Kieran Lee was runner up in the votes with Chris Maguire and Chris Kirkland running each other close for 3rd place.
