Sheffield Wednesday youngster Paul Corry has joined Tranmere Rovers on a 1-month loan deal.

The 22-year-old Irishman joined the Owls in the summer of last year on a 3-year deal and although he has made 8 first team appearances this season he is generally regarded as a player for the future at this stage of his Wednesday career. The move will hopefully enable the central midfield to gain some valuable competitive experience.

Corry made his debut for Rovers on Friday evening as they suffered a surprise 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Shrewsbury Town. Tranmere were already 2-0 down when Corry came on as a second half substitute. Fellow Owls loan player Liam Palmer was sent off the Tranmere early in the first half when the game was goalless.
