Marsden, best known from his days at Southampton as a creative left-sided midfielder, started his career at the Swine and moved on to Huddersfield Town, Coventry City, Wolves, Notts County, Stockport County and Birmingham.
He was an integral part of the Saints side which got to the FA Cup final against Arsenal last season and even led the team out at Cardiff in their 1-0 defeat.
The veteran journeyman’s contract was not renewed at St Mary’s though and he made the decision to ply his trade in South Korea with Busan Icons, who ironically are managed by former Owl Ian Porterfield.
Turner has admitted that Marsden is the sort of experienced player he is looking for to build a team of youngsters around next season. Could be an interesting trivia question though if Marsden does sign – has any other player started his professional career at one Sheffield club just to finish it at the other?
