Making a name for themselves in division two has been harder than first anticipated for the Hillsborough club.
They have looked decidedly lightweight on so many occasions this campaign and it was exemplified against Stockport on Saturday in blustery conditions.
Apart from Kevin Pressman, Derek Geary and Leigh Bromby, the rest of the starting eleven at Edgeley Park in the horror show 1-0 defeat had made their Owls bow under Turner.
Turner has changed the team around since he arrived in November 2002, for that there is no doubt, although questions will be raised whether he has brought in the right sort of player.
He said on the defeat to County: "I think we were second best on the physical side but when you look at the physiques of the two teams - that’s not much of a surprise.
"It goes without doubt that there will be new players coming into the squad in the summer who can handle conditions like that, because to get out of the second division, it takes those sorts of players."
Wednesday have missed a midfield general since the departure of Carlton Palmer, and despite the powderpuff Adam Chambers being brought in on loan for an extended spell, that position will primarily be Turner’s major concern.
