Defender joins Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday have moved to secure the services of defender Jaden Brown on a free transfer. Brown was released by Huddersfield Town at the end of last season and the length of his Owls deal is yet to be confirmed.
The 22-year-old is comfortable playing left-back and wing-back due to his ability to get up and down the pitch and should be an asset to the Owls, with left-back proving to be something of a problem position in recent times.
Brown came through the Tottenham Hotspur academy and he featured for Spurs under 21 team in the football league trophy in 2018-19. He moved to Huddersfield in 2019 and made 28 league appearances for the Terriers in the Championship, including a substitute run out in a 2-0 home win over the Owls last season.
Brown is Wednesday’s third signing of the summer, joining former Everton midfielder Dennis Adeniran and QPR winger Olamide Shodipo at Hillsborough as Darren Moore looks to shape his side for the 2021-22 season.
