In-form Sheffield Wednesday have added more attacking options to their squad by securing the signing of Norwich City striker Gary Hooper on loan.
The former Celtic forward was a target for the Owls during the summer transfer window. A proposed deal to bring him in at that time fell flat at the 11th hour but Hooper will now stay with Wednesday until January 17th.
The 27-year-old has found it hard to break into the Norwich side of late but boasts a prolific scoring record during his time with Scunthorpe and Celtic and his 12 Championship goals last season were a valuable contribution towards Norwich’s promotion back to the Premier League.
Hooper will be in contention to make his Owls debut against NottinghamForest at Hillsborough on Saturday.
