Sheffield Wednesday's preparations for the 2014/2015 season will begin with a trip to York City on Saturday 9th July. York narrowly missed out on a place in this season's League 2 play-off final and are managed by former Wednesday player Nigel Worthington.
The Owls then travel to another League 2 side, Bury, the following Friday. On Sunday 27th July Wednesday make the short trip to League One side Doncaster before welcoming Premier League Newcastle United to Hillsborough on Wednesday 30th July.
The Owls last scheduled pre-season game as things stand sees them travel to near neighbours Barnsley on Saturday 2nd August.
