More injury woes for Wednesday
With domestic football set to return this weekend following the international break, Sheffield Wednesday have been dealt further blows on the injury front.
Diminutive forward Fernando Forestieri has had a scan following a knock picked up at the end of the recent victory at Bristol City and the results have revealed a hamstring injury that will keep him sidelined for 3-4 weeks. Fellow forward Marco Matias has a similar injury and is still 2-3 weeks away from a return to the fold.
The Owls options in attack are dwindling with Gary Hooper facing further assessments having not featured at all this season but there was better news for Sam Winnall when he scored for the under 23 team last week as he bis to return from a knee injury suffered when on loan at Derby County back in February.
6th-placed Wednesday face Middlesbrough at Hillsborough on Friday evening.
