Owls striker set for a spell on the sidelines

Owls striker Marcus Tudgay is likely to play again the season having undergone knee surgery.

The operation to cure damage to the forward's cartilage was said to have been a success but the time needed for recovery means that the chances of him playing in any of the Owls remaining fixtures are slim at best.

Tudgay has found the net 8 times in league and cup this season and had been a key member of the side before picking up his injury, taking on the main goal scoring responsibilities following an injury to fellow striker Akpo Sodje.
