Quinn has been linked with a move to Coventry City and it has been reported that the deal offered to him at the end of the season was not good enough.
The former Willem II and West Brom star got better and better last season although his tally of two goals could have been better.
He scored one goal at MK Dons and his second goal was the strike which sealed Wednesday's place in the play-offs at Hull.
But his link-up play and consistent performances towards the end of the campaign pleased Paul Sturrock and the Owls boss remains hopeful that Quinn will sign.
Meanwhile Sturrock has said that 4 new players will ideally be coming into Hillsborough to raise the squad to 23.
