Plymouth director Phillip Gill has made an impassioned plea to local businesses in Devon and Cornwall to give Pilgrims supporters time off to travel to Sheffield on Wednesday night.
And his comments suggesting that his side have the best support in the division are sure to bring some added spice to the top-of-the-table clash, especially as the Wednesday faithful have been on top form all season.
"The Green Army has been superb all season. They are the best in the division - I can't believe we took more supporters to Wycombe for a run-of-the-mill league game than Bristol City brought to us for a big West Country derby.
"It would be a crying shame if any supporters who wanted to go to Sheffield were unable to because of work commitments and I hope employers will be generous in allowing them time off, or to rearrange their schedules, so they can travel to the match."
Well, Mr Gill, we applaud your fervour and will of course extend a welcome to your travelling 'hordes' but do hope that the same courtesy is afforded when your allocation for the Barmy Army is decided for the reverse fixture in March.
