Sheffield Wednesday travel to Bristol City tonight looking for 3 points to maintain their play-off push. The Owls are currently 6th in the Championship table but after a weekend without a fixture and defeat last time out, a gap has developed to the teams above the in the table.

Wednesday will be without suspended pair Sam Hutchinson and Steven Fletcher following their late red cards in the loss at Brighton.

With Lucas Joao having joined Blackburn on loan, Carlos Carvalhal will choose from Forestieri, Hooper, Winnall and Nuhiu in attack while David Jones could come in to replace Hutchinson in midfield.

Jack Hunt could feature despite being stretchered off at Brighton but if he is not fit to start then Liam Palmer will take his place.

Bristol City are likely to be without defender Joe Bryan as he picked up an ankle knock in the F.A. Cup defeat at Premier League Burnley on Saturday. Fellow defender Mark Little is also rated as doubtful and key attacker Lee Tomlin is short of match fitness having suffered from illness recently but he should at least be fit enough for a place on the bench.

The loss at Brighton was Wednesday's first defeat in 7 and they will be eager to get back to winning ways.

The Robins by contrast are in dire form having lost their last 8 league games in a row.

Wednesday enjoyed a 3-2 win against City earlier in the season, coming back from 2-0 down at half-time to win the game late on at Hillsborough but they were beaten 4-1 on their last visit to Ashton Gate towards the end of last season.
