Sheffield Wednesday fans were treated to extended clips of 2 Owls goals on SKY Sports over the Christmas weekend.
First of all the broadcasters weekly magazine show, Soccer AM gave a run-down of their top 40 goals of the season so far. In at number one was Marco Matias' fine strike for the Owls in their 1-1 draw at Elland Road back in August. The Portuguese winger latched on to a ball down the right, flicking it inside over the head of a defender before firing an unstoppable volley in off the underside of the bar from the corner of the penalty box giving the Leeds keeper no chance.
On Boxing Day Fernando Forestieri's second goal in the 3-0 win against Birmingham City was voted as the goal of the day from the full round of fixtures across the country in a poll on Sky Sports News, receiving the vast majority of the votes cast.
The pint-sized forward picked up the ball on the halfway line, powered into the penalty area and cut inside onto his right foot to curl a sublime strike into the goal.
Forestieri is fast becoming a fans favourite in his first season at Hillsborough with his 10 goals to date reward for his tireless work-rate.
Matias' first season in English football has hampered by a hernia problem but if he can get fit for the second half of the season he could yet prove to be a useful addition to the Owls push for promotion.
