Sheffield Wednesday travel to lowly Blackpool on Saturday with Stuart Gray forced to make at least two changes to his starting 11.
Centre-back Kamil Zayatte and defensive midfielder Jose Semedo limped out of the midweek defeat at home to Blackburn and both players will not be fit to face the Seasiders on Saturday. With Glenn Loovens injured Claude Dielna may have to deputise alongside Tom Lees at the heart of the defence with either Joe Mattock or Jeremy Helan coming in at left-back.
Sam Hutchinson is likely to fill Semedo's role in the centre of the park and after a promising display as a substitute against Blackburn Chris Maguire will be hoping for a start.
Blackpool will be unable to field on-loan Owls forward Gary Madine who has found the net for them twice in six appearances since making the move west. Lee Clark will also have to make do without Steven Davies following the forwards loan move to Sheffield United on Friday.
Charles Dunne will miss out as he serves the final game of a 3-match ban but on loan Bournemouth midfielder Miles Addison is expected to start after making an encouraging debut in the narrow defeat at Birmingham in midweek.
Wednesday are in inconsistent form having won two and lost three of their last six matches but with seven wins and five draws from their seventeen away games they still boast a better return on the road than all but the top six teams in the division.
Blackpool are fifteen points plus a terrible goal difference away from Championship safety and time is running out for them if they are to pull off an unlikely escape from relegation to League One. They have picked up just four wins from 35 league games and are without a win in seven.
The Owls beat Blackpool at Hillsborough on Boxing Day thanks to a Chris Maguire penalty but were beaten 2-0 at Bloomfield Road last season.
