Laws said: "We seem to be picking up most of our points away from home at the moment and we have shown real grit and determination.
"We had an embarrassing start to the season but we are now starting to pick up. That will give us another little edge to our game and a little bit more belief - it's the perfect boost before we go to West Brom on Tuesday.
"It could not have been a worse start to the second half but the response was important and we showed a lot of steel and determination. At times it was a bit scrappy, but it's three points and we are delighted with that."
