Sheffield Wednesday will travel to Brighton and Hove Albion for their first game of the 2014/15 season following the release of the full season fixture list today.
Brighton will pose a tough test for the Owls having reached the play-offs for the past 2 seasons and this has been based on a strong home record though Wednesday can take heart from the fact that they took 4 points from their 2 matches against Albion last season.
Last season's losing Championship finalists Derby County will be the first visitors to Hillsborough a week after the Brighton game and Millwall come next in midweek.
Blackpool will make the trip to S6 on Boxing day and Wednesday's last home game of the season is a Yorkshire derby against Leeds United. The Owls finish their season at Watford the first weekend in May.
Wednesday are at home to newly promoted neighbours Rotherham on November 8th with the return fixture taking place on 21st March.
