Sheffield Wednesday have today announced their 2nd opponents during their pre-season week in Portugal next month. The Owls had previously confirmed a fixture in Albufeira against newly promoted Premier League side Hull City on Saturday 20th July. Today's news states that prior to the Hull fixture Dave Jones' side will play top flight Portuguese outfit Braga on Tuesday 16th July.
Braga finished in a creditable 4th position in the Portuguese Premier League last season, earning them a place in next season's Europa League. They competed in the Champions League last season, providing a stern test in the group stage to the likes of Manchester United and Galatasary.
The following week Wednesday return home to face Glasgow Rangers at Hillsborough in the build up to the new season kick off in early August.
