Sheffield Wednesday have been handed a home draw in the first round of the Capital One Cup, against League One side Notts County.
The Owls were knocked out at this stage by Rotherham last season and so will be keen to have a decent run in the competition this time out. The tie will take place at Hillsborough in the week commencing 11th August.
The majority of the South Yorkshire clubs got home draws with the Owls new Championship neighbours Rotherham set to face Fleetwood and League One sides Sheffield United and Barnsley drawing home ties against Mansfield and Crewe respectively. Doncaster Rovers were drawn awat to York City.
League Cup sponsors Capital One will be running a promotion at this stage of the competition which will allow adults to purchase up to 5 kids tickets for £1 each along with their own ticket.
