Owls eye Scottish star

Winters, currently playing for Brann Bergen in Norway is set to return from the Scandinavian country when the transfer window reopens in January to continue his playing career in the UK.

The 32-year-old has previously had a spell at Dundee United before moving to Aberdeen and bagged 41 goals in just over 122 league games.

Meanwhile, Glenn Whelan will miss the game with Birmingham City at the weekend after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season at Norwich.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 skipper will now serve a one-match ban and Yoann Folly should be recalled to the team to take his place.
