Coughlan, just back from Ireland after compassionate leave, has struggled to get back into the side and is itching to get playing again.

The move to Turf Moor for the rest of the season will let the likable Irishman get playing again.

With Tommy Spurr and Steve Watson also at the club, it looks as if Brian Laws is covered in that department.

Meanwhile, Scotsman Graham has rejoined his former club on the south coast for the rest of the season.

Apparently, the former Wigan striker, who has had a hard time at Hillsborough, breached club discipline regulations and Laws was not happy with the striker's professionalism.
