Sheffield Wednesday could receive a significant injury boost ahead of the final few games of the Championship season with two midfielders closing in on a return to fitness.
Keiran Lee, who has missed around half of the season after undergoing hip surgery, had returned to full training and could come into contention within the next couple of games. The former Manchester United youngster has been a big miss as his energetic style and ability to grab a goal from central midfield is something that few others in the Owls squad are able to provide.
Defensive midfielder Sam Hutchinson could also be available soon having missed around a month. The former Chelsea player has been one of Wednesday's stand out performers this season and his no-nonsense approach has made him a favourite with the fans. Carlos Carvalhal's side have coped reasonably well during his latest absence with David Jones providing a steady influence in the centre of the park but having Hutchinson available will give Wednesday more options in terms of how they approach games.
The Owls have 3 league games remaining and will be hoping to extend their season by making the play-offs for the second season in a row.
