Sheffield Wednesday have allowed centre-half Mark Beevers to go out on a 1-month emergency loan deal. The towering defender has joined one of Wednesday’s Championship rivals, Millwall on a 28-day contract and could make his debut against Bolton on Saturday.
Beevers signed a new 2-year deal at Hillsborough this summer and has featured 8 times already for the Owls this season but he is currently behind Martin Taylor, Anthony Gardner and Miguel Llera in the pecking order for the centre-back spots.
The decision to allow Beevers to go out on loan would suggest that Dave Jones is likely to persist with his recent centre-back pairing of Taylor and Gardner despite the Owls poor defensive record, unless Llera can work his way back into the starting line-up.
