Midfield man agrees to play on
Sheffield Wednesday have been given a lift this week with confirmation that Kieran Lee will be available for selection for all of the remaining 9 games of the Championship season.
Owls manager Garry Monk has stated that the midfielder, who is out of contract this summer, has agreed a short-term extension that will make him available for the run in.
31-year-old Lee signed for Wednesday from Oldham in 2012 and has been a key player for the club in his time at Hillsborough, finding his best form under former manager Carlos Carvalhal when the club made the play-offs in successive seasons between 2015 and 2017. In recent seasons he has been severely hampered by injuries but his availability for these last 9 games is certainly positive news for Owls fans.
