Sheffield Wednesday have extended the loan spell of young Everton midfielder Ross Barkley. The 18 year old has featured 7 times for the Owls this season having initially moved to Hillsborough last month.
Barkley’s one goal so far came from penalty spot in the home defeat to Bolton and he as impressed with his range of passing from the centre of the park but his performances have not been reflected in the Owls recent run of results. He was one of the stand-out performers in the 1-1 draw with Leeds United and Dave Jones will be delighted to have secured his services for another month.
Barkley is likely to feature in Wednesday evening’s clash with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
