Owls aiming for four in a row

Sheffield Wednesday welcome Bolton Wanderers to Hillsborough on Saturday with the opportunity to record their fourth Championship win in succession to at least keep within touching distance of the top six.

Stuart Gray has plenty of options to choose from having received positive news on the fitness of some of his injured players recently. The likes of Lewis Buxton, Joe Mattock, Sam Hutchinson and Giles Coke are all available for selection again following injury lay-offs but the manager is likely to be reluctant to tinker too much with the winning formula he has found of late.

Young Chelsea loan player Lewis Baker will be hoping to feature at some stage having made his debut as a late substitute in the win at Nottingham Forest last weekend.

Bolton travel east having enjoyed something of a revival since Neil Lennon took over as manager and they will be hoping to continue their good form against the Owls.

Wanderers have no new injury issues to concern them but the likes of Mark Davies, Joe Mason, Marc Tierney, Max Clayton and Lee Chung Yong all remain sidelined.

Owls fans may be forgiven for thinking they have travelled back in time by around 10 years if Bolton go with the same attacking options that started last Saturday's draw with Leeds United as veterans Emile Heskey and Eidur Gudjohnsen will be set to feature.

Wednesday have won four of their last six in the league but need to match their fine away form at Hillsborough. They have won 6 Championship matches on their travels but only 3 to date at home.

Bolton have only lost 1 of their previous 10 league games but have only won two away matchs in the Championship so far this season.

The two sides played out a 0-0 draw in September in a match that the Owls dominated but that was prior to Lennon taking the reigns as Wanderers boss. Wednesday were well beaten when the teams last faced each other at Hillsborough back in April with Bolton easing to a 3-1 victory.
