Sheffield Wednesday have moved to add to their attacking options in the run in to the end of the season by signing Southampton winger Lloyd Isgrove on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Owls have struggled for goals all season and despite sitting 12th in the Championship they are among the lowest scorers in the division. A lack of attacking pace and genuine wide players has contributed to their problems in front of goal and Stuart Gray will be hoping that Isgrove can help to solve these problems.
The 22-year-old had a productive loan spell at League One side Peterborough last season and has been a regular fixture in the Saints successful Under 21 side during this campaign. Isgrove has represented Wales at Under 21 International level and has made 4 appearances for Southampton's first team this season.
The Saints, who have a good recent history of developing young footballers to play at the top level, hold Isgrove in high regard as they agreed a deal on a new two-year contract with the player this week.
The Owls, who lost 3-0 at Wolves on Tuesday, could include the pacy right-footed winger in their squad for the short trip to Rotherham on Saturday.
