Sheffield Wednesday’s summer transfer business continued late into Friday’s deadline day as they added centre-back Martin Taylor to their ranks.
Taylor joins the Owls after moving from Watford for an undisclosed fee on a 2-year contract. The 32 year-old who has previously played for the likes of Blackburn and Birmingham made almost 100 appearances for Watford and was runner up in the clubs fans player of the season award in 2010/11. He suffered an injury hit campaign in 2011/12 as a result of a broken collarbone and a broken toe but has been an ever-present in the Hornets starting line up this season.
Taylor joins QPR striker Jay Bothroyd in moving to Hillsborough on transfer deadline day.
