Sheffield Wednesday’s Ross Wallace has been rewarded for a fine display in Saturday’s 3-2 win against Fulham with a place in the Football League Team Of The Week.
The 30-year-old Scotsman was on top form against the Londoners, providing assists for all 3 Owls goals with his accurate delivery from set-pieces.
Wallace was a constant threat throughout the game and was it not for fine saves by Andy Lonergan, denying Bannan and Lopez, Wallace could easily have had more assists. Atdhe Nuhiu also went close to heading home another pinpoint Wallace delivery.
The former Burnley player will be hoping to continue his good form this week as the Owls take to the road to face Newcastle and the League Cup on Wednesday ahead of a trip south to Brentford on Saturday.
