Sheffield Wednesday posted their first point of the 2013/14 season on Saturday thanks to a 1-1 draw with Leeds in the Yorkshire derby at Elland Road.
The Owls held a first half lead thanks to a headed goal from centre-back Kamil Zayatte but were pegged bag thanks to a fine solo effort by Ross McCormack.
Dave Jones' side gave a good account of themselves against their unbeaten opponents and were good value for a well earned away point.
The match also saw the return of full-backs Lewis Buxton and Reda Johnson who both featured for the first time this season following their recovery from injury and they helped to prevent the Owls from conceding 2 goals for the 4th match in succession.
The need for a proven goal scorer to assist new forward Atdhe Nuhiu was again prevalent and Dave Jones intimated after the game that he hopes to make some progress in this regard during the course of the next week.
Next up for the Owls is a home clash with early strugglers Millwall at Hillsborough next Saturday. The Lions have lost all 3 of their league games to date and are yet to score a goal in the Championship this season.
