The scheme which was brought in during pre-season but not implemented for the Blackpool and Torquay games, made an ill-fated debut at Tranmere, where fans could actually pay on the gate.
Travelling supporters got a patronising letter from Wednesday thanking them for supporting the OAC at the turnstiles at Prenton Park although Rovers did not want to go along with the idea due to the money they would lose by not letting Owls fans in.
Again, the card was not fully operational at Walsall on Saturday - personally I got in Bescot Stadium with being checked but there were many reports of Wednesdayites not needing to show their card.
The OAC cost loyal supporters £10 to get their card for the privilege of watching their team away - it is a good idea in principle, in a way to get rid of the very small minority of idiotic hooligans who 'support' the club, although fans who only get to local away games for instance it just is not worth the hassle.
Many supporters did not like the cost involved to get the OAC, and due to the reaction it has recieved, it was not the most popular decision in Wednesday's history.
Chairman Dave Allen was on Radio Sheffield last night saying that the scheme will be scrapped because of it's lack of success and supporters will get their money back, although these plans have not been officially confirmed by the club as of yet.
