No games until at least May as EFL extends season

Football bodies issue latest update on Corona Virus response
 
On Thursday 19th March the EFL released a statement in relation to the ongoing issue of COVID-19. Having previously suspended football matches until April 3rd, this update confirmed that no games will take place before at least April 30th. 
 
The EFL confirmed that all professional football organisations in England remain committed to finding a means of completing the the 2019-20 season and recent measures put in place have increased the possibility of this. These measures include the postponement of the Euro 2020 tournament to 2021, which frees up the summer football calendar and the FA have also relaxed their rule which states that all domestic competitions must be finished by June 1st. 
 
Sheffield Wednesday are currently in 15th place in the EFL Championship table with 9 games of the season remaining.
